Retired IADA Members,

I hope 2010 has been going well for you and that you are in good health and enjoying your "RETIREMENT" days. It was great to see many of the retired athletic directors take advantage of the new FREE REGISTRATION AND NO MEMBERSHIP FEES offer that was afforded the retirees by the IADA membership.

The 50-50 raffle was very successful. We generated $800 for the Retired Athletic Directors Golf Outing.

I would like to thank all who helped with the ticket sales. A "special" thank you goes out to, Al Albrecht, Al Cornish, Larry Hodges, Terry McCombs and Phil Svetich for a job well done.

Retired Athletic Directors who wish to be active contributors to any and all of the conference subcommittees may do so by contacting me as soon as possible. The subcommittees are as follows:

Last fall the Retired Athletic Directors Golf Outing was cancelled because of poor weather, I heard from many of you that we should try and move the golf outing to the summer - So this year the event will be held on Thursday, July 8th, starting at 1:00 PM at the Den at Fox Creek, 3002 Fox Creek Road, Bloomington, IL. in conjunction with the New Athletic Director's Workshop and the Summer Retreat. I have enclosed a registration form for this event. We have negotiated a GREAT deal - $44 for a round of golf including a cart. We want to see as many Retired Athletic Directors as possible. See attached form.

It continues to be my intention to improve communication between and among both the existing active membership and those of us who are retired.

I will continue to work on our mailing list and send updates to Royal Publishing. If you get the time, please take a look at the Retired Athletic Directors list - I would like e-mail addresses for everyone. If any of you know the correct street address and/or e-mail address of any one who is listed or not listed, I would appreciate an e-mail with any necessary additions or corrections that need to be made - the internet is more economical, easier, and faster.
