Retired Athletic Directors Newsletter, Spring 2011
Retired IADA Members,
Summer is approaching and I hope all has been going well for you and that you are in good health and enjoying your "RETIREMENT" days. It was great to see Jon Boulton (Glenbard North) Washington Bush (Conant), Bob Cowan (Granite City), Don Crandall (Palatine - District 211), Dave Good (Prospect), Terry McCombs (Downers Grove South), Carlin Nalley (Lisle), Terry Niedzwiecki (Rockford Auburn), and Diane Pettet, (Peoria Richwoods) who took advantage of the new FREE REGISTRATION AND NO MEMBERSHIP FEES to the conference for retirees.
The IADA voted to establish the position of "Executive Director" - this position will be held by a Retired Athletic Director. Information can be found here or contact Steve May, President at (847)718-7018.
If you would like to be active contributors to any of the conference subcommittees, you may do so by contacting me as soon as possible. The subcommittees are below:

Doug Smith (Naperville North) and Washington Bush (Conant-retired) have come forward with a great idea. As a Retired Athletic Administrator - would you be interested in either teaching a Leadership Training course, speaking at the State IADA Conference on a topic of your choice, or if invited; go to an individual conference meeting during the year and provide your expertise on a topic that would be of interest to the athletic directors within that Conference. Please contact me if you wish to participate.
The 50-50 raffle was very successful; we generated $880 for the Retired Athletic Directors. I would like to thank Al Albrecht and Terry McCombs for their assistances.
I will continue to work on our mailing list and send updates to Royal Publishing. If you get the time, please take a look at the Retired Athletic Directors list on the IADA web site - If any of you know the correct street address and/or e-mail address of any one who is listed or not listed, I would appreciate an e-mail with the corrected information. The internet is more economical, easier, and faster. If you have ideas, concerns or questions please contact me by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (630) 846-2010.
